Since a young age, I’ve found that art has always seemed to grab me. The way it challenges me mentally and technically. Achieving a finished idea through designing, using creativity and crafting brings me great satisfaction. Seeing this done well in others work, I see as a beautiful thing.
2. What’s my background?
I am self taught artist who has been focusing on painting for about 5 years. I have studied art at art college and design at university. Throughout my life, I have been creating and working on projects in different mediums, including digital art forms. I’ve picked up different hints and tips from exploring different art areas to enhance the work I do today.
3. Where is the studio based?
My studio is based in Dorset, England. I am lucky that I can use inspiration from the naturally beautiful area of the Jurassic south coast to inspire landscape paintings.
I hope people will connect with my art and will gain pleasure and joy from it. I would like to show people my story of what I find interesting and hope that others will see the interest/beauty in it too.
5. What inspires me?
I take inspiration from most of life’s inputs. For example, this could be film, television, people I meet, books or even going for a walk. I am constantly absorbing influences which in turn generates ideas for future projects.
6. How many paintings do I complete a week?
Its a hard question to answer as each week has different demands. It also depends on the size and complexity of the painting.
